What is Clogging?

Hear ye, Hear ye!  Clog dancing newlyweds, John and Shannon Morton, celebrated the arrival of their bouncing baby boy, Shaun Ryan.  He came December 16th, 2005 at 7:46 in the AM, he weighed 8lbs. 9.37oz and was 19 1/4" long.  He was only 4 days old when he attended his first clogging lesson, will he join his family in their clogging family tradition?  Only time will tell...

Wild Country Cloggers was recently featured in an article in their local newspaper, the Bennington Banner.  The 2 page article featured performances and a brief history of clogging from the mouths of fellow Wild Country members...John Morton (director), Shannon Morton (secretary), and Jessica Hayes (director of New Age Cloggers in Schaghticoke, NY).  The featured trio will also be appearing on Bennington's local radio station, WBTN 1370 AM, in a live interview with Willy Jones on January 23rd, 2006.

Here comes the bride...

Wild Country's team director, John Morton married fellow dancer and group secretary, Shannon Dougherty on July 3, 2005.  They had been dating for 10 months after being friends for almost 5 years. Both long-time students of clogging...they found out their son, Shaun Ryan would soon arrive on December 16, 2005.  Clogging is carried on into a third generation?  Who knows...
